Come snow, come wind, committed to life

On May 12, The March for Life happened in Whitehorse, Yukon.

Along with the 12,000 in our nation’s capital, Ottawa, and the 2,000 in
Victoria, British Columbia, our little prolife group added their feet
and prayers to this national effort to promote the most fundamental
social justice issue of our age: the sacredness of human life. It was a
wonderful ecumenical gathering of Christians committed to life.

Last year was the first-ever prolife walk in Whitehorse, and thus our
tiny prolife group, with help from the Knights of Columbus (KofC) and
the Catholic Women’s League (CWL), organized another successful March
this year.

Even a late-spring snowfall and bitterly cold wind did not deter those
committed to carry this most fundamental message of life from walking
the main street of Whitehorse.
